Apps that Make Helps Kids Connect to the Real World

As parents, we often worry that the tech world that our children are ensconced in is taking away from real world connections, and that they are exercising their physical bodies less and less.

Another wonderful article by one of my favorite writers on children’s apps, Daniel Donahoo, “The Future of Apps for Young Children: Beyond ABC and 123“.

He writes about apps that educate “the whole child”, cater to children’s social and emotional learning, and also gets kids moving physically.

In the article, he mentions Toca apps for imaginative play, which my daughter loves, and I’m definitely going to try out Sid’s Science Fair and Toontastic.
